“Diseases can rarely be eliminated through early diagnosis or good treatment, but prevention can eliminate disease.”

Denis Parsons Burkitt

Our Mission

To advance health equity by addressing the social, economic, and environmental conditions that determine who gets to be healthy. Grounded in public health principles and community partnerships, we work across the full spectrum of health equity - beginning with food access and chronic disease prevention, and expanding to encompass cultural inclusion and every other determinant of health that shapes health outcomes in our communities. We strengthen and build systems that enable people to thrive within their communities.

Our Vision

A world where your postcode does not determine your health - where every person, regardless of income, background, or circumstances, has consistent access to the conditions they need to live well: nourishing food, safe housing, quality healthcare, mental support, social connections, and communities that are designed for human flourishing. Where systems prevent harm or injustice before it begins.

Our Services

Community engagement

We work directly with residents, local organisations, and community leaders to understand the lived experiences of health inequity and ensure that solutions are shaped by the people they're meant to serve.

Health education and workshops

We offer workshops and educational programming that build community knowledge around health systems, resources, and rights—equipping residents to navigate and advocate within the systems that affect their health.

Advocacy

Strategic Planning

We amplify community voices in policy conversations, working alongside residents and partners to push for changes that address the root causes of health inequity.

We partner with community organisations and coalitions to develop clear, actionable strategies for advancing health equity—aligning goals, resources, and priorities across stakeholders.
